LALIGA: call for tenders for broadcasting rights launched in several territories (UK, DACH, etc.)

LALIGA has launched several separate tenders for the broadcasting rights to LALIGA EA Sports in various territories in Europe on 04/03/2025. The deadline for submitting bids for all tenders is 04/04/2025.

The first concerns the United Kingdom and Ireland, where the media rights to the Spanish championship are currently held by the Premier Sports pay-TV group (full rights) and the privately-owned ITV group (10 free-to-air games per season) for the 2022-2025 cycle. The tender is for the 2025-2029 or 2025-2030 cycles (depending on the agreements reached), with two different packages available (one with all matches, the other with free-to-air rights to the Sunday evening match).

The second tender has been launched in the DACH region, Luxembourg (non-exclusive rights) and Liechtenstein. The OTT platform DAZN holds the media rights to LALIGA EA Sports in Germany, Austria and Luxembourg until 2026, while pay-TV bouquet Blue Sports (Swisscom) holds the TV rights to the competition in Switzerland and Liechtenstein.
