FIFA Club World Cup 2025: TNT Sports acquires TV rights to 24 matches in the USA

The pay-TV group TNT Sports has acquired the rights to broadcast 24 matches from the 2025 Club World Cup in the United States under sub-licence from DAZN, announced the broadcaster owned by Warner Bros. Discovery on 05/03/2025.

This is the second sub-licensing agreement concluded by DAZN for the broadcast of the competition in the USA. The OTT platform has already signed an agreement with Spanish-language pay-TV and free-to-air group TelevisaUnivision for the latter to broadcast 18 matches of the competition on 13/02/2025.

DAZN acquired the exclusive worldwide broadcasting rights for the Club World Cup 2025 from FIFA on 04/12/2024. The 63 matches of the competition will be broadcast free of charge on the streaming service. The platform acquired the rights for $1bn (€952m as of 04/12/2024), according to the Financial Times.

• The "Mundial de Clubes", the official name of the tournament, will begin with a group stage with eight groups of four teams. The top two teams in each group will qualify for the Round of 16, which will open the knockout stages leading to the final.
