Everton FC (Premier League) is borrowing £350m (€420m) to refinance on a "long-term" basis the debt incurred in connection with the construction of its new stadium (on the Bramley-Moore Dock site in Liverpool, ENG), announced the club on 06/03/2025.

The refinancing is "from a consortium of blue-chip institutional lenders. The offering was oversubscribed multiple times, ensuring competitive terms beneficial to Everton. The financing is part of The Friedkin Group's commitment to strengthen and stabilise the club to provide the foundations for on-pitch success," explained the club. The sale of Everton FC to the American Friedkin Group was completed in December 2024 (see below).

Everton will formally open its new stadium in the summer of 2025, prior to the start of the 2025-26 season. The club had originally planned to move into its new 52,888-seat stadium at the end of 2024, during the 2024-25 season. After consultation with Liverpool City Council and its Fan Advisory Board, Everton eventually decided to postpone the stadium's opening.
