FIFA Club World Cup 2025: Mediaset acquires TV rights to one game "per day" in Italy

The Italian private TV group Mediaset has acquired the free-to-air rights to one game per day in Italy for the FIFA Club World Cup 2025 as part of a sublicensing agreement with DAZN, announced the British OTT platform on 07/03/2025.

"This new partnership only reinforces and expands a successful synergy already in place for Serie A, going beyond sub-licensing and exploring unprecedented cross-platform editorial collaboration to create an unparalleled dedicated offer for the competition," said DAZN. Juventus FC and FC Inter Milan will be the two Serie A Enilive clubs in the competition.

DAZN acquired exclusive worldwide broadcasting rights to the Club World Cup 2025 from FIFA on 04/12/2024. The 63 matches of the competition will be broadcast free of charge on the streaming service. DAZN obtained these rights for $1bn (€952m, as of 04/12/2024), according to the Financial Times.
