The commercial revenues of the clubs in the main European top flight leagues for the 2023 financial year (2023-24 season) amount to a cumulative €8.9bn, making them their main source of revenue (ahead of TV rights, at €8.5bn), according to UEFA in its annual report "The European Club Finance and Investment Landscape" published on 14/02/2024.

TV rights sales had been the segment generating the most revenue for European clubs since the first edition of the report (published in 2009). These rights have however shown slower growth over the 2019-2024 cycle (+3%), while the clubs' commercial revenues have increased by 39% compared to their pre-pandemic level (€6.9bn cumulative in 2019), and by 12% compared to the 2023 financial year (€8.4bn). This surge is mainly driven by merchandising income, "the strongest growing revenue segment," according to UEFA.

Of this €8.9 bn, almost a quarter (24.72%; €2.2 bn) was generated by Premier League sides (€110.1 bn on average per club), followed by the other leagues in the European Top 5:
• €1.450bn for Bundesliga clubs (€80.6bn per club) ;
• €1.143bn…
