"La Liga supports regulation because it attracts capital -- we will able to lower the interest rates and create accessible conditions. Regulation of TPO will contribute further stability to football. This is the business world, and if someone earns money, we will all earn it," said Javier Tebas, the president of the LFP during the forum "TPO: A path for a sustainable and competitive future in world football", organised by the Spanish and Portuguese professional football leagues, in Madrid (ESP) on 09/04/2015.

The FIFA Executive Committee decided on 19/12/2014 to ban the ownership of players by third parties as of 01/05/2015, stating: "Existing agreements shall continue to be in place until their contractual expiry. New agreements made between 01/01/2015 and 30/04/2015 will be subject to a time limit (one year maximum)."

"If professional football doesn't react, the Premier League will be like the NBA, and the rest of the leagues will be unable to compete on the international stage. If we don't make our leagues stronger, we risk the emergence of one (dominant) European league," added…
