DFL: adidas to succeed Derbystar as official ball supplier (2026-2030)

adidas will succeed Derbystar as official ball supplier for the Bundesliga, 2.Bundesliga, Franz Beckenbauer Supercup and relegation/accession play-off games for four seasons, from 2026-27 until the end of 2029-30, the Deutsche Fußball Liga announced on 13/03/2025.

The German equipment manufacturer will thus once again become the ball supplier of DFL, having already held this position over the 2010-2018 cycle. Derbystar, German manufacturer belonging to the Danish group Select Sport, succeeded adidas from the 2018-19 season and extended its commitment over the 2022-2026 cycle on 11/03/2021. "In view of the upcoming change, we would like to thank our current partner Derbystar all the more for the excellent, trusting cooperation throughout the partnership," said Steffen Merkel, CEO of the DFL.
