Formula One Group: Stefano Domenicali's position as president and CEO extended until 2029

The Italian Stefano Domenicali has been extended in his role as the president and CEO of Formula One Group for a further five years until 2029, announced the company that owns the rights to and organises the FIA Formula One World Championship on 12/03/2025. He has held the position since January 2021.

"Stefano has been an excellent steward of the business, building on its successful foundation and accelerating Formula 1’s rate of growth both commercially and in fan engagement. His energy and enthusiasm for the sport translate into highly effective strategy and results," said Derek Chang, CEO of Liberty Media (since February 2025), the American group that owns Formula One Group.

Formula One Group has posted $3.653bn (€3.5bn at 31/12/2024) in revenue for the 2024 financial year (from 01/01 to 31/12/2024), which includes 24 Grands Prix (compared with 22 in 2023), This represents a 13.4% increase in revenue compared with the 2023 season ($3.222bn/€2.9bn), announced Liberty Media when it published its annual results on 27/02/2025.
