French football: "The FFF will present a project, even if nothing comes from the clubs" (P. Diallo)

"I hope that the clubs will formulate proposals around the three themes and that a project will emerge. If nothing coherent emerges, if we are unable to find common ground, we (the Federation) will make proposals for global and coherent projects. In the end, there will be a project and there will be proposals," declared Philippe Diallo, president of the Fédération Française de Football, at a press briefing organised after the meeting of the body's executive committee on 13/03/2025.

The president, who was re-elected on 14/12/2024, spoke 10 days after bringing together Ligue 1 and Ligue 2 clubs, the Ligue de Football Professionnel, CVC Capital Partners (the fund behind the creation of the commercial company LFP Media) and the DNCG at the FFF's headquarters in Paris (FRA) to create the conditions for a rebound in French professional football, which is currently in the throes of an economic crisis.
