Canal+ Group: Aziz Diallo promoted to "managing director pay-TV" for French-speaking Africa

Aziz Diallo has been promoted to the position of "managing director pay-TV" for French-speaking Africa at Canal+, announced the pay and free-TV group on 17/03/2025. He will report to David Mignot, managing director of Canal+ Africa.

Aziz Diallo was previously managing director of Canal+ Ivory Coast (since 2017), having previously been managing director of the group's subsidiary in Mali (2015 to 2017). "Aziz Diallo has successfully contributed to the group's activities first in Mali and then in Ivory Coast, which has become the third most important country for Canal+. His leadership, his strong expertise in African markets and the roles he has held within our subsidiaries will be key to supporting the Canal+ Group's ambitions on the continent," said David Mignot.

The Canal+ Group holds the French-language broadcasting rights in sub-Saharan Africa for the UEFA Champions League (2024-2027), the Premier League (full, 2022-2025), the Bundesliga (2023-2028), LALIGA EA Sports (since 2022) and the PFL (since 2024).
