England: publication of the Premier League's Environmental Sustainability Strategy

The Premier League has published its Environmental Sustainability Strategy (available to download), on 14/03/2025.

The English League's strategy is organised around three objectives:
• "Adapting our business, with the aim of becoming net zero by 2040;
• Future-proofing the game by supporting decarbonisation across the Premier League;
• Engaging and inspiring fans by encouraging action through our programmes and platforms."

"We will focus on the environmental issues that are most relevant to our business and the broader football industry. These issues were identified following extensive engagement with clubs, wider stakeholders and sustainability experts and will be reviewed as our strategy progresses," explained the Premier League.
