USA: Coca-Cola replaces Pepsi as a partner of MLS and the Federation until 2018

Coca-Cola will replace Pepsi as the beverage partner of MLS and the USSF for four seasons (2015-2018), announced the brand on 13/04/2015. Pepsi had been a partner of MLS since 1996; its contract ended in December 2014.

Coca-Cola will obtain visibility on the perimeter advertising boards at matches of the league and the US national teams. Coca-Cola also has the right to use the image of both organisations, as well as the image of their players, for its communication campaigns and activations.

The agreement will notably cover the 2015 Women's World Cup in Canada and the 2018 World Cup in Russia.

Pepsi replaces Coca-Cola in the NBA

  • Pepsi has replaced Coca-Cola as a partner of the NBA, announced the PepsiCo group on 13/04/2015.
    • The contract with Coca-Cola began in 1986.
    • Coca-Cola remains a partner of the basketball player Lebron James.
  • The PepsiCo group also sponsors the other major American sports leagues: the NFL, the MLB and the NHL.
