IOC: $4.4bn in revenue generated in 2024, including 73.7% from TV rights & 19.7% from sponsors

"In 2024, the IOC generated $4.414bn (€4.26bn) in revenue and redistributed $3.291bn (€3.18bn), of which $2.121bn (€2.05bn) went to the Olympic Movement. The financial success of the IOC, which has a solid long-term financial base, is clearly there for all to see," announced Singaporean Ser Miang Ng, chair of the IOC Finance Commission, on the occasion of the presentation of the International Olympic Committee's 2024 consolidated accounts (from 01/01 to 31/12/2024), which were unanimously approved at the 144^th Session of the IOC in Greece on 19/03/2025.

In detail, 73.7% of the revenue came from TV rights ($3.25bn/€3.14bn) and 19.7% from the marketing rights of the TOP programme ($871.5m/€842m), to which 15 worldwide partners were committed in 2024, for an average estimated contribution of €56.1m. "The Olympic brand has never been so strong," said Ser Miang Ng.

The "Americas" market ($1.7bn/€1.66bn) comprises more than half (52.8%) of TV rights revenues, ahead of the Asian ($828m/€800m, or 25.5%) and European ($633.3m/€611.9m, or 19.5%) markets, according to the accounts audited by…
