2.2 billion people have access to the Ligue 1 McDonald's worldwide, while the French championship's cumulative audience has grown by 8% since the start of the 2024-25 season internationally, reported LFP Media during a press briefing presenting the Ligue de Football Professionnel's new strategy with its international broadcasters, held at the League's headquarters (Paris, 8th arrondissement) on 19/03/2025.

While the 2024-25 season is the first in a new media rights cycle, both in France and abroad, Ligue 1 is currently broadcast by 44 international broadcasters in 215 territories. However, agreements have yet to be signed in certain markets, notably Spain (where Warner Bros. Discovery held the TV rights until 2023-24)," explained David Labrune, international media rights director at the LFP.
