Frédéric Thiriez, the president of the EPFL and the French LFP, was the subject of death threats before the final of the Coupe de la Ligue (French league cup) between SC Bastia - Paris Saint-Germain (0-4 on 11/04/2015) and it is largely for this reason that he decided against greeting the players on the pitch at the Stade de France before the match, News Tank was told on 14/04/2015.

"My only wish was for this game to be played in a festive atmosphere. But I knew very well that as soon as I went down to the pitch, there would be problems. It is unpleasant for me to not shake the hands of the players on the field before the game. I sacrificed that in the public interest, so as not to spoil the party," explained Frédéric Thiriez, on Radio France, on 12/04/2015.

"I wanted a moment of calm, not one of worry," added Thiriez.

The threats were discussed at the security meeting of the French Ministry of Interior, on the morning of the final
