• The Football Governance Bill, which aims to introduce an independent regulator for professional football in the UK, was approved by the House of Lords on 19/03/2025, but without the final amendments proposed to combat sponsorship by sports betting companies.
• Cindy Parlow Cone, president of US Soccer, and Randy Harris, president of the Barbados Football Association (BFA), have been elected to the FIFA Council to represent Concacaf, with Sonia Fulford (Turks and Caicos Islands) re-elected.
• The public broadcasting group RTVE has acquired the exclusive rights to broadcast the 2026 World Cup in Spain, according to the daily El Mundo.
• Spain's Pedri (FC Barcelona) has been appointed brand ambassador for Decathlon, after previously promoting adidas.
