France: Kappa & Intersport launch initiative for amateur football clubs to design their own shirts

Swiss sporting goods retailer Intersport and Italian equipment manufacturer Kappa (BasicNet Group) have launched "La Surface de Création", an initiative aimed at giving amateur football clubs in France the opportunity to design their shirts for the 2025-26 season, announced the two parties on 25/03/2025.

Five clubs will benefit from support from the two groups to design a shirt that "embodies their history, their city and their everyday life." The kits created will then be unveiled through a publicity campaign and offered for sale at the Intersport shop nearest to the beneficiary clubs, "thereby enhancing their local visibility."

Clubs wishing to take part in the operation, for the benefit of their men's or women's first teams, are invited to register on a dedicated platform and will be selected as follows:
• from 25/03 to 05/04: submission of applications and presentation of candidate clubs via the platform;
• on 06/04: selection of ten finalist teams (two per geographical region, see below);
