Kings League: after Italy, Brazil & France, competition to be launched in Germany on 12/04/2025

The Kings League, a 7-a-side football competition created by the Kosmos investment fund (founded by former Spanish footballer Gerard Piqué), will be launched in Germany on 12/04/2025, announced the league on 25/03/2025.

The launch of this new competition in Germany follows those of the Kings League Italy (in February 2025), the Kings League Brazil (scheduled for 29/03) and the Kings League France (on 06/04). Former German professional player Bastian Schweinsteiger will also be president of the Kings League Germany, as Zlatan Ibrahimović is for the Italian circuit and Kaká for the Kings League Brazil. No president has been appointed for the competition in France as of 26/03/2025.

German player Mario Götze, who plays for Eintracht Frankfurt (Bundesliga), and Hasan Salihamidžić, a former professional player from Bosnia and Herzegovina and former sporting director of FC Bayern Munich (Bundesliga), will be team presidents.
