AC Milan/Inter Milan: new stadium project estimated at €1.25bn for delivery in 2031

€1.25bn, including €708m for the construction of a new stadium alone, is the cost estimated by AC Milan and FC Inter Milan (Serie A Enilive) for their project to build a new stadium and redevelop the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza, jointly submitted to the City of Milan (Lombardy, ITA) on 11/03, according to the documentation published by the municipality on its website (see below) on 24/03/2025.

The two clubs set out three possible alternatives in their "feasibility document of alternatives to the project": "1. no intervention", "2. renovation of the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza" and "3. new stadium + redevelopment of the Giuseppe Meazza", with the latter option, which includes the acquisition of the property complex of the Great Urban Function (GFU, areas intended for the installation of facilities of public or general interest) of San Siro (a district to the west of Milan), being preferred.

This option, drawn up in collaboration with the British architects Populous, provides for:
