Real Sociedad: implementation of a plan to reduce the club's environmental impact

Real Sociedad (LALIGA EA Sports) has putting in place a plan "for the coming years" which includes a series of measures to reduce its environmental impact, announced the club on 25/03/2025.

"As a club committed to its environment and society, Real Sociedad aims to move towards a more sustainable Gipuzkoa (Guipuscoa, province of the city of San Sebastian), committed to renewable energy, efficient and low-emission, focused on waste management, promoting sustainable mobility, committed to the circular economy."

The plan is called "Planeta Urdina" in Basque. It "defines Real Sociedad's determined desire and commitment to be a benchmark for sustainable development and efficiency."

"As part of the actions we are developing as part of our Planeta Urdina strategy, next Saturday (29/03) a visibility action will take place with the return of 'BerdEguna', a series of sustainable initiatives launched by the club in collaboration with several partners, awarded in 2024 as one of the best climate actions in the private sector," said the Spanish club.
