DFB: president Bernd Neuendorf supported by amateur football & the DFL for a second term of office

The regional and state associations of the Deutscher Fussball Bund (equivalent to districts and leagues respectively for the FFF) and the DFL are nominating Bernd Neuendorf for a second term as DFB president, announced the German Football Association and the professional league on 27/03/2025. The election for a four-year term is scheduled to take place at the DFB general assembly in Frankfurt am Main on 07/11/2025.

Bernd Neuendorf, born on 06/07/1961, is the 14^th president of the German Football Association since he was elected on 11/03/2022. The former journalist and politician (Social Democratic Party of Germany, centre-left) won 77.2% of the votes cast (193 votes out of 250), against 20% (50 votes) for the other candidate, Peter Peters.

Stephan Grunwald, DFB treasurer also elected on 11/03/2022, has also been proposed to continue in the same position.
