Eagle Football Group: total revenues of €117.6m in first-half of 2024-25 (-32%), EBITDA down to €46m

Eagle Football Group posted revenues of €117.6m in the first half of 2024-25 (from 01/07 to 31/12/2024), down 32% on the first six months of 2023-24 (€172m), announced the holding company that owns Olympique Lyonnais (Ligue 1 McDonald's) on 27/03/2025. Excluding player trading, revenues rose by 7% to €82.9m (compared with €77.1m a year earlier).

While the group's results were positively impacted by OL's participation in the Europa League in 2024-25 (+12% for ticketing revenues, to €17.8m, and +55% for TV rights & marketing revenues, to €26.9m), they were negatively affected by a decline in "player sales activity". Revenue from the sale of players, which stood at €94.9m on 31/12/2023, was just €34.7m a year later.

The Group posted a net loss of €117m, compared with a net loss of €60.6m at the end of December 2023. EBITDA also fell sharply to -€46.1m from -€7.6m over the same period in 2023-24.
