Italy/FIGC: Volkswagen (car manufacturer) extends its partnership with the Federation until 2026

German car manufacturer Volkswagen has extended its partnership with the Federazione Italiana Giuoco Calcio for a further two years, until 2026, announced the Federation on 28/03/2025. The agreement covers all FIGC national teams (men's, women's, futsal, beach soccer and esports).

The German brand has been partnered with the Italian Federation since 2023, and is now ranked as a "premium partner" (third level) alongside six other brands. As part of the agreement, Volkswagen is promoting its range of eHybrid plug-in vehicles "to raise awareness of the importance of innovative and sustainable mobility."

In addition to the FIGC, Volkswagen is a sponsor of two other Federations in the European Top 5:
• the brand has been a major partner (1^st level) of the Fédération Française de Football since 01/08/2014, and extended for three years, i.e. until the 2026 World Cup, on 24/03/2023;
• the German manufacturer has also been a major partner (1^st level) of the Deutscher Fussball Bund since 2019, under an agreement extended for a further four-year cycle (2024-2028) on 15/05/2024.
