Women's World Cup 2035: Spain announces joint bid with Portugal & Morocco

"We want Spain to be the host of the Women's World Cup 2035, in partnership with Portugal and Morocco," said Rafael Louzán, president of the Spanish Football Federation (RFEF), during a conference at the King Juan Carlos University in Madrid (ESP) on 28/03/2025.

The three countries were already designated by FIFA on 11/12/2024 to host the 24^th Men's World Cup from 13/06 to 21/07/2030.

"There's no better way to give women's sport a higher profile than by taking part in the world's biggest sporting event, a football World Cup. We're currently working on this," said the President of the Spanish Federation.

Spain have held the trophy since beating England 1-0 in the final of the 2023 tournament, held in Australia and New Zealand in Sydney (AUS) on 20/08/2023.

The Women's World Cup 2027 will be held in Brazil from 24/06 to 25/07/2027.
