AFC Ajax: Menno Geelen, interim CEO since May 2024, confirmed until June 2027

The supervisory board of AFC Ajax (Eredivisie) "intends to extend Menno Geelen's contract (interim CEO since 10/05/2024) until 30/06/2027," announced the Dutch club on 28/03/2025.

"Menno Geelen (Huizen, 1982) will officially become the club's chief executive officer on 01/07/2025. Geelen has been with Ajax since 2010 and has served as commercial director since 01/11/2016. Since his interim appointment as CEO on 10/05/2024, his duties as commercial director have been temporarily taken over by Cas Biesta," explained AFC Ajax.

"I have always stated that this is a decision for the supervisory board and that I believe former players should hold important positions within the organisation. This extension not only allows more time to do this properly, but also helps maintain stability within the current management team, the supervisory board, and the board of directors," said Menno Geelen.
