FFF: deadline for choosing stadiums to host national teams from September 2025 extended by UEFA

"It should be remembered that the Federation is required to notify the stadiums that will host the qualifying matches for the 2026 World Cup, starting in September 2025, as early as March 2025," stated the FFF in the minutes from the executive committee meeting held on 13/02 and published on 17/03/2025.

"We have been granted dispensation by UEFA (the body that organises the World Cup qualifiers at European level) to notify it of the stadiums in April," said the Federation to News Tank Football on 02/04/2025.

The French team is due to face Iceland (09/09/2025), Azerbaijan (10/10/2025) and Ukraine (13/11/2025) as part of the qualifiers for the 2026 World Cup (UEFA zone group D, full calendar below).

"We have launched a consultation with cities that would like to host matches for Les Bleus, the French women's team and the U21s in 2025-26. The stadiums selected should be known at the next executive committee meeting (scheduled for Thursday 17/04/2025)," added the FFF.
