Olympique Lyonnais: creation of "OL Légendes" the club's former players' association

The "OL Légendes" association of former Olympique Lyonnais (Ligue 1 McDonald's) players was created on 02/04/2025.

The announcement was made at the Groupama Stadium (Décines-Charpieu, Rhône) in the presence of Laurent Prud'homme, the club's CEO, and "iconic former players". Headed by Brazilian Cris (at the club from 2004 to 2012, winning 4 Ligue 1 titles with OL), the association has a board made up of Sidney Govou (secretary), Pierre Laigle (treasurer), and Maxime Gonalons.

"Supported by Sandra Chiritian and Serge Bex, long-time director of the club's commercial department who himself wore the shirt in the 80s, OL Légendes will be able to rely on the financial support of a number of partners, including the Auvergne Rhône-Alpes region and its vice-president in charge of sport Renaud Pfeffer. Open to former players of all generations, the programme aims to preserve and pass on the club's heritage by organising a number of events around football and sport in general, including exhibition and charity matches, gala dinners, padel tournaments, etc."
