LFP: Ligue 1's "best dribbler" award created with E. Hazard as an ambassador for the trophy

The Ligue de Football Professionnel has created a trophy to reward the "best dribbler" in the Ligue 1 McDonald's each season from 2024-25, announced the LFP on 04/04/2025.

"This award highlights one of the particularities of the French game: dribbling. This trophy goes far beyond statistics. It rewards a state of mind, a style, an attitude. It is a tribute to daring, creativity and, more than that, to the heritage of street football and the excellence of French training, which have shaped generations of exceptional players, a rare breed that brings crowds to their feet," explained the League.

The new trophy, whose list of nominees for the 2024-25 season will be unveiled at the beginning of May 2025, will be awarded on the basis of various "statistical, collective and style criteria" including:
• performance measurement
• ratio of dribbles attempted/completed
• contribution to the game
• style
• elegance and complexity of dribbling
• behaviour/attitude

The winner will be chosen following a vote conducted by a "group of experts (including former players and coaches, journalists…
