AB InBev renews its partnership with the American and Mexican federations until 2018

The Belgian-Brazilian brewer Anheuser-Busch InBev renewed its partnership the with American and Mexican Federations until the 2018 World Cup in Russia on 14/04/2015.

The American brands Budweiser and Bud Light will be highlighted in the context of these partnerships. Each agreement is reported to be worth more than €3m per season, according to the Wall Street Journal. The contract includes advertising board visibility and the image of the national teams and players for the advertising campaigns of both brands in the United States and Mexico. The InBev group also wants to make use of this partnership during the 2015 Women's World Cup in Canada.

  • InBev has been under contract with the American federation since 1986 and the Mexican federation since 2007.
  • Both partnership extensions were negotiated by SUM (Soccer United Marketing), a subsidiary of MLS that manages business activities and the marketing and audiovisual rights to the North American league and is also the marketing agency of both Federations.
