McDonald's, the American fast food group, has renewed its partnership with the four home nation football associations of the United Kingdom (England, Northern Ireland, Scotland, and Wales) until 2018. In collaboration with the sporting goods manufacturers Nike and adidas, it will provide 6,200 grassroots clubs with sports equipment bearing the McDonald's logo on the front of the shirt, announced the company on 14/04/2015.

McDonald's could distribute as many as 72,000 kits in 2015. "We gave out 50,000 shirts last year, it’s over 70,000 this year, which is fantastic. We went to a local club recently and you could see the players oozing with pride as they came out with the new kit," said Martin Keown, the former England and Arsenal defender who is now the head of English football for McDonald's, on 13/04/2015. This operation, called "Accredited Club Kit Scheme", has been part of the partnership between McDonald's and the four home nation football associations of the UK since 2002.
