LALIGA: FC Barcelona demands "absolute discretion" regarding its financial information

FC Barcelona (LALIGA EA Sports) has asked LALIGA and its president, Javier Tebas for "absolute discretion" regarding the economic information sent to it by the Catalan club and has informed LALIGA that it will not continue "to be part of the group of clubs that had a place on the current delegated commission of the employers," announced the club on 07/04/2025.

Barça, which has sent a letter to LALIGA to express its "surprise and indignation", is reacting five days after the Spanish League indicated that the sale by FC Barcelona of 475 VIP seats at the Spotify Camp Nou (Barcelona, ESP) to two Middle Eastern funds for a maximum of 30 years for €100m, announced by the club as completed at the end of December 2024 in order to justify its compliance with LALIGA financial regulations and the registration of its two players Dani Olmo and Pau Víctor, did not appear in the club's 2024-25 interim results (see below).
