Emilio García Duarte has been appointed chief revenue officer at Real Betis Balompié (LALIGA EA Sports), announced the Spanish club on 08/04/2025. He succeeds Juan Useros, who stepped down at the end of December 2024.

"Emilio García Duarte has a degree in journalism and a degree in business administration from Harvard Business School. He comes from the NBA, where he developed his professional career over the last 15 years, the first four as EMEA director of marketing and later, in New York (USA), as head of marketing for Latin America. Emilio has led the NBA's LATAM growth strategy, achieving record revenues in the region and making the league one of the brands with the fastest growing fanbase."

"This appointment comes at a very important time for Real Betis, with four European Cup appearances in a row and key projects underway, including the renovation of the Estadio Benito-Villamarín (Seville, ESP), which will be fundamental to generating new revenues," said the club.
