World Rugby: Defender (Land Rover, car manufacturer) 15^th partner of the Women's World Cup 2025

Defender, a range of vehicles from the car manufacturer Land Rover, has extended its partnership with World Rugby to become a global partner of the Women's World Cup 2025, which will take place in England from 22/08 to 27/09/2025, announced the international body on 09/04/2025.

The British group thus becomes the fifth "principal partner" (1^st level) of the competition, alongside Mastercard (USA, payment solutions), Capgemini (FRA, consultancy), Gallagher (USA, brokerage and insurance) and Asahi (JPN, beer). Defender has been a major partner of the Men's Rugby World Cup since 2011 and of its women's counterpart since 2021.

"Women's Rugby World Cup 2025 will provide the platform for the next phase of Defender Trailblazers, first introduced in 2023, to celebrate individuals who best represent the determination, resilience and spirit of women's rugby and inspire others to strive for more," said World Rugby.

Defender will also be rolling out its "Defender Mascot" programme, through which 64 people can be recruited to embody the mascot of a rugby nation (England, Scotland, Wales, Ireland…
