FIFA Club World Cup 2025: 87% of football fans plan to follow the competition (DAZN/GWI)

87% of football fans plan to watch the FIFA Club World Cup 2025, according to a survey by the GWI institute commissioned by DAZN, reported the OTT platform on 09/04/2025.

The survey polled more than 9,000 people in the United States, the United Kingdom, Germany, France, Spain and Italy. DAZN acquired the worldwide broadcast rights for the Club World Cup 2025 from FIFA on 04/12/2024. The 63 matches of the competition will be broadcast free of charge on the streaming service. The platform is said to have obtained these rights for a $1bn (€952m, on 04/12/2024), according to the Financial Times.

Of the 87% of football fans who plan to follow the competition:
• 77% will do so at home
• 28% in a bar
• 14% in a fan zone
• 14% at the stadium
