Groupe L'Équipe: Yannick Lemaire appointed director of events (Ballon d'Or, Demain le Sport)

Yannick Lemaire, director of communications and CSR at L'Équipe since 2019, has also been appointed director of events for the sports media group, he announced via his LinkedIn account on 11/04/2025.

"It is with great enthusiasm that I am taking charge of the new 'Events' unit at L'Équipe to continue to develop the legendary 'Ballon d'Or' (football award ceremony), the promising 'Vélo d'Or' (cycling award ceremony) and the younger 'Demain le sport' (an event focusing on the future of sport), three assets imagined and developed by the group's talented teams. Another challenge is to create new events and help expand L'Équipe's playground hashtag#vision2030," said Yannick Lemaire.

Before joining the L'Équipe group, Lemaire was director of communications and social networks for RTL's radio division (March 2017 to November 2019), having previously been director of press services and media partnerships (June 2006 to February 2017). Prior to that, he was head of communications for the French daily newspapers Le Parisien and Aujourd'hui en France (January 2000 to June 2006).
