LALIGA/TV production providers (2025-2030): Mediapro contests the outcome of the call for tenders

"Mediapro considers the awarding of the production contracts (for Spain's top two divisions over the 2025-2030 cycle) for LALIGA to be arbitrary and lacking in objective justification. The company is committed to defending its reputation - and that of its professionals - and will contest the outcome of the tender process through all available channels, both nationally and internationally," announced the Spanish audiovisual group on 14/04/2025.

Mediapro was reacting to the awarding by LALIGA, on the same day, of production and distribution contracts for LALIGA EA Sports and LALIGA Hypermotion for the next five seasons. Host Broadcast Services (a subsidiary of Swiss media rights and marketing agency Infront) won lots 1 (operating media for LALIGA EA Sports), 2 (operating media for LALIGA Hypermotion) and 3 (main control room and centralised services), while Spanish operator Telefonica was awarded lot 4 (contribution and distribution).
