RC Celta: Galicia regional government approves sports complex project

The "Cidade Deportiva Afouteza - GS360" project, the future training centre of RC Celta (LALIGA EA Sports), has been approved by the regional government of Galicia, "allowing work to begin immediately," announced the club on 14/04/2025.

This future space has been designated a "project of autonomic interest (PIA)" by the local authorities, a status granted to territorial projects with an economic, social and environmental impact on a regional scale. RC Celta "has gone above and beyond to meet the criteria required for this designation, with particular attention to environmental sustainability - preserving local springs, ponds, native forests, and natural ecosystems," explained the club.

Among the infrastructure planned as part of the project:
• a 4,000-seat stadium and five training pitches for youth teams;
• a training centre offering university and vocational courses focusing on health and sport;
• a residence for academy players, a catering area for the entire complex and a hotel;
• two areas dedicated to sports clinics and performance-related innovation.
