France is the only one of the five countries represented in the quarter-finals of the 2014-15 Champions League where none of the matches of the teams involved is broadcast on a free-TV channel. beIN Sports broadcast the Juventus - AS Monaco match (first leg on 14/04, second on on 22/04/2015), while Canal+ France showed the game between Paris Saint-Germain and FC Barcelona (first leg on 15/04, second on 21/04/2015).

In Italy, Juventus - AS Monaco FC (1-0) was broadcast by the pay-TV channels Sky Sports 1 HD and Sky Calcio 1 HD on Tuesday 14/04/2015. But the second leg of AS Monaco FC - Juventus will be broadcast by the private free-TV channel Canale 5 (Mediaset group), on Wednesday 22/04/2015.

"Except in France, we have made sure to have at least one match of the Champions League on a free-TV channel (for each matchday). And in the future, this is also our goal," said Gianni Infantino, the UEFA general secretary, on 26/03/2014. The 2015-2018 broadcasting rights to the Champions League in France will again be shared between Canal+ and beIN Sports only.
