England: Castore to succeed Umbro as equipment supplier of the Rugby Football Union (RFU) from 2025

British brand Castore will succeed Umbro as the official kit supplier to the Rugby Football Union (RFU) for the England men's and women's XVs, announced the two parties on 23/04/2025.

The men's national team will change kit "at a later date in 2025", while the Castore logo will replace that of Umbro on the women's team jerseys from the kick-off of the Women's World Cup 2025 organised in England from 22/08 to 27/09/2025.

This change is part of an agreement signed by Castore with GL Dameck, a distributor of Umbro, on 18/03/2024, for the sublicensing of Umbro's marketing rights in the United Kingdom, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Belgium, the Netherlands and Denmark. As part of the deal, Castore took over Umbro's football sponsorship portfolio in the UK and, from the start of the 2024-25 season, has "the exclusive right to seek to work with Umbro's existing partners", which included the Rugby Football Union.

The partnership between Umbro and the RFU initially covered the 2020-2028 cycle, in return for £5m (€5.7m) per year. The British brand had succeeded Canterbury, the RFU's equipment…
