FIFA Club World Cup 2025: Channel 5 to broadcast 23 matches free-to-air in the UK

Channel 5 (owned by the US conglomerate Paramount Global) has acquired the free-to-air rights to 23 FIFA Club World Cup 2025 matches in the UK, as part of a sublicensing deal with DAZN, announced the British private free-TV broadcaster on 23/04/2025.

Channel 5 will broadcast 15 matches from the group stage, four Round of 16 matches, two quarter-finals, one semi-final and the final. All matches will continue to be broadcast free of charge on DAZN. The platform acquired the global broadcasting rights for the competition from FIFA on 04/12/2024. DAZN obtained these rights for $1bn (€952m as of 04/12/2024), according to the Financial Times.

Manchester City FC and Chelsea FC, who play in the Premier League, will be the two English teams taking part in the FIFA Club World Cup 2025.
