EPCR: 2026-27 Champions Cup & Challenge Cup finals to be held at the Groupama Stadium in Lyon (FRA)

The 2026-27 Investec Champions Cup and Challenge Cup finals will be staged over the same weekend at the Groupama Stadium in Décines-Charpieu (near Lyon, Rhône, FRA), announced European Professional Club Rugby on 24/04/2025.

This is the second time the EPCR has returned to Lyon, following the finals held in 2016, the year the 59,186-seat stadium was inaugurated. "EPCR was the first major event organiser to take a chance with OL Stadium, and our terrific team, bringing the finals to our community only four months after the inauguration of our leading European facility," said John Textor, CEO of Eagle Football Group, the company that owns the stadium, as well as Olympique Lyonnais (Ligue 1 McDonald's), the stadium's resident club.

Lyon was chosen to host the event by the EPCR board "after an exceptionally competitive tender process" managed in partnership with The Sports Consultancy.
