Aston Villa FC: Villa Park extension to be completed by the end of 2027, before hosting Euro 2028

Work to extend Villa Park (Birmingham, ENG), which is due to host some Euro 2028 matches, will be completed in the second half of 2027, according to Aston Villa FC (Premier League) on 24/04/2025.

The work will be completed with the renovation and extension of the North Stand (from 5,000 to around 12,000 seats), which will increase the stadium's capacity from 42,785 to "over 50,000". The project also includes improved accessibility to the stadium and the creation of "Villa Live", a "standalone multi-use entertainment, community, and retail venue" with a club shop, food and drink outlets, and a club museum. The cost of the work is estimated by the club at £100m (€119m).

Birmingham City Council granted planning permission for the first phase of the Villa Park stadium redevelopment and extension project on 22/12/2022.
