Tennis/Wimbledon: a turnover of €482.6m in 2024 for the AELTC, +6.9% compared to 2023

The All England Lawn Tennis Club (AELTC), organisers of the Wimbledon Grand Slam tournament, posted a turnover of £406.507m (€482.6m) for the 2024 financial year ended 31/07/2024, up 6.93% on 2023 (£380.156m, or €443m), according to accounts filed with Companies House on 22/04/2025.

The AELTC posted an operating profit of £54.33m (€64.5m), up 1% on 2023 (£53.77m/€62.6m). Under the terms of the contract between the AELTC and the Lawn Tennis Association (LTA) until 2053, 90% of this amount, i.e. £49.853m (€59.18m), is paid to the LTA. As a result, the AELTC's net profit was £5.12m (€6.07m), down 10.7% on 2023 (£5.735m/€6.68m).

"Income from broadcasters represents just under half of the company's turnover (approximately £200m or €237m) and a small number of key broadcast markets, notably the UK and USA, provide the majority of that income." A total of 225 million hours were watched on BBC channels over the 14 days of the tournament.
