Everton FC: billionaire businessman Christopher Sarofim (USA) joins the club's ownership group

American billionaire businessman Christopher Sarofim, chairman of the global investment manager Fayez Sarofim & Co, has become the first new investor to join Everton FC's (Premier League) ownership group, Roundhouse Capital Holdings Limited, announced the club on 23/04/2025.

"Mr Sarofim brings almost 40 years' worth of experience in investment, fund management and philanthropy to Everton and its ownership group, which will further strengthen the club's financial base. He will become a board observer at the club, which remains under the control of The Friedkin Group (TFG)," explained Everton FC, regarding the man who is also a minority shareholder of the Houston Texans (NFL).

The sale of the club to The Friedkin Group (USA), which acquired a 94.1% stake in Blue Heaven Holdings Limited, an Isle of Man-registered company owned by British-Iranian Farhad Moshiri and former majority shareholder of Everton FC, was approved by the Premier League, Women's Professional Leagues Limited (WPLL), The Football Association and the Financial Conduct Authority (UK market regulator), on 19/12/2024.
