Stade France concession: GL Events named "preferred bidder" by the French government

GL Events, a group specialised in event management, announced that it has been appointed "preferred bidder" for the concession to operate the Stade de France (Saint-Denis, Paris, FRA) by the French government, on 23/04/2025. "This decision marks a new phase in preparation for assuming the management of the site starting the 05/08/2025," said the group. The government's decision is expected in May 2025.

This official announcement follows the Conseil d'État's (Council of State) rejection of the Vinci-Bouygues consortium's appeal challenging the State's decision to enter into exclusive negotiations with the GL Events group to award the operation of the Stade de France for 30 years (2025-2054) on 17/04/2025. The French government, which owns the stadium built by the Vinci and Bouygues groups for the 1998 World Cup, announced that it had entered into "exclusive negotiations" with GL events on 10/12/2024. The Vinci-Bouygues consortium (Vinci, 67% - Bouygues, 33%), which has held the current concession since 1995 and until 04/08/2025, had also applied.
