• Puma France and Decathlon have launched the "1vs1 cup", "an innovative football tournament celebrating the creativity, inclusiveness and audacity of young talent". French international and Olympique Lyonnais (Ligue 1 McDonald's) player Alexandre Lacazette is taking on the role of official director of the competition.
• The DFL welcomed a delegation of African media to visit the facilities of FC Augsburg (Bundesliga) and to meet several members of FC Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund on the sidelines of the match between the two teams (12/04).
• The Miller family (USA) and Miller Sports + Entertainment have become owners of Real Salt Lake (MLS) and Utah Royals FC (NWSL) through the acquisition of RSL Football Holdings in a deal valued at $600m (€528m).
• AFC Ajax, Manchester United FC, SL Benfica and FC Bayern Munich will be the first four teams (out of eight) to take part in the inaugural Women's 7-a-side World Sevens Football competition to be held in Estoril (Portugal) from 21 to 23/05/2025.
