Borussia Mönchengladbach (Bundesliga) has ended its activity on the social network X on which it created its main account in October 2009 (and which had more than 537,900 fans at the end of April 2025), announced the club on 25/04/2025.

This decision also applies to the club's accounts in English (181,000 followers) and French (12,300), as well as those dedicated to the youth teams (2,800), the women's team (12,100) and the Borussia Mönchengladbach museum (2,330), while the Japanese-language X account remains active "for the time being due to contractual obligations." Borussia is the fourth Bundesliga club to leave the social network. SC Freiburg, 1. FC St. Pauli and SV Werder Bremen had previously announced their decisions to cease activity on the platform in November 2024.
