AFC Bournemouth: club to acquire Vitality Stadium & its capacity to be doubled by 2028

AFC Bournemouth (Premier League) have reached an agreement to acquire Vitality Stadium (Bournemouth, England), which has been the club's home since 1910, announced the club on 26/04/2025. The transaction is expected to be finalised "shortly".

The club, which has owned the 11,307-seater stadium since it was built, sold it in 2005 (when it was playing in Sky Bet League One) to the Structadene property group under a sale-and-leaseback agreement valued at £3.5m. The stadium is being purchased through a newly created structure called Black Knight Stadium Limited. The latter is owned by the Black Knight Football and Entertainment consortium, through which American Bill Foley bought the club in December 2022.

The deal, made official at the opening of the club's performance centre (itself valued at £32m/€37.6m), is part of "a trend of significant investment in facilities to improve both player development and the supporter experience," according to AFC Bournemouth.
