New Zealand Rugby: Toyota replaces Ineos as training kit sponsor of the national teams

Japanese car manufacturer Toyota has become the training kit sponsor of New Zealand Rugby's national teams for a three-year period (2025-2028), announced the governing body on 05/05/2025.

The brand succeeds the chemical company Ineos, which had "unilaterally" terminated its sponsorship agreement and had "failed to pay the first instalment of the 2025 sponsorship," according to New Zealand Rugby on 11/02/2025. Ineos was initially committed to the body under an agreement valued at NZ$8m (€4.7m) per year and covering a six-year period (2022-2028). The two parties have reached an agreement, the details of which have not been disclosed, making it official that the partnership will come to an end on 01/04/2025.

Unlike Ineos, which was one of the Federation's main partners (alongside main jersey sponsor Altrad and equipment supplier adidas), Toyota has the status of global partner, making it a third-level sponsor in NZR's sponsorship hierarchy.
