2.Bundesliga: civil weddings permitted at SV Darmstadt's Merck-Stadion am Böllenfalltor (Hesse, GER)

As part of an agreement between SV Darmstadt 98 (2.Bundesliga) and Darmstadt City Council (Hesse, Germany), civil weddings are now permitted at the Merck-Stadion am Böllenfalltor, announced the club on 06/05/2025.

"Civil ceremonies are now possible in the Lilies' Box in the main stand, which provides a fitting ambiance with its view of the stadium," said the club, which has created a dedicated email address for this purpose to be contacted by those interested.

"We are very happy that from now on, blue and white hearts will not only beat faster at the club's home games, but that the Bölle, as a unique wedding location, can also serve as the starting point for a life together as a couple. The Merck-Stadionalso offers the newlyweds an ideal venue for the subsequent celebrations. Several wedding parties have already requested dates," said Michael Weilguny, managing director at SV Darmstadt.
